Top 10 Most Expensive Cities In The World To Live In

I live in a small town in the South-east of England. The cost of living here is a little higher as I live near a motorway, but it is still relatively cheap compared to London. I think it is expensive in the South-east.

The most expensive cities in the world to live in are in China and the USA. Here’s how much it cost to live in each city.

If you’re planning to go into business in a particular location or area then you are at the right place. Read on for details to make the process smoother.

In the article, the Telegraph put together a list of the most expensive cities in the world by the square meters of real estate you could buy for $1 million. It then ranked those cities by what percentage they cost compared to the U.S. dollar.

10 Most Expensive Cities in the World to Live in

If you are living in a city that costs a lot, you might want to check out the ten most expensive cities.

1. Monaco

The problem is that you will be paying for all the square meters of the house. The house has walls, floors, ceilings and outside of it. So, if you buy a house for 1 million, you will be paying for all those things.

Monaco is a very beautiful city.
It has lots of shops, all in gold color.

But not only is it going to be one of the most expensive cities, but it’s also going to be one of the best!

What kind of person lives in Monaco? I don’t know too much about Monaco but I think I will have to live there.

2. Hong Kong

$1 million buys: 21 square meters of real estate.

$1 million worth of real estate can afford 21 squared meters of real estate.

Hong Kong is a very expensive place to live, especially for a student. Many people that I’ve talked to from Hong Kong have stated that they don’t like the place, as it’s too expensive and has too much crime.

Well, it definitely is a beautiful city. If you want to live in a city with a vibrant culture and you enjoy a lot of seafood, then Hong Kong is a really good choice. It is also a really safe place. I would highly recommend Hong Kong to anyone!

3. London, UK

$1 million buys: 21 square meters of real estate.

$1 million worth of real estate can afford 21 squared meters of real estate.

A night out in London is the second most expensive city in the world, only behind Hong Kong. If you spend more than 5-10% of your monthly income on a night out in London, the bank account will be slashed in half.

A lot of people call it being in the wrong country but for me, it’s just how I’ve grown up.

4. New York

The cost of real estate is approximately $1 million per square meter.

New York is a great place for people who are interested in the arts, music, and all of the different kinds of events that take place all over the city. Even if you’re not in the mood for anything in particular, you can always find some entertainment and fun in the city.

According to AreaVibes.com, New York City costs a whopping $35,200 per year for an average studio apartment, more than any other city they reviewed (including Los Angeles). The same apartment in San Francisco only costs $26,500 per year. New York was also the priciest city for one- and two-bedroom apartments, but cheaper than Miami and Chicago.

5. Singapore

1 million dollars buys 39 square meters of real estate.

I went on a 10-day trip to Singapore last month. I was astonished by how much everything costs over there. Sure, it largely depends on which area of the city you’re in, but the main issue really is rent.

Singapore isn’t only clean, but also ‘T’ is a common way to say ‘tough’, so it’s not as bad as other cities.

In Singapore, the law strictly punishes any illegal dumping or littering. Singapore has a law against littering that gives a maximum jail term of 3 years and a fine of up to S$200,000.

But I still don’t understand why people think the US has great cities. You just have to take the time to travel, and see for yourself.

6. Geneva, Switzerland

1 million dollars buys 39 square meters of real estate.

There’s some incredible things to see and do in Geneva, but this article hasn’t convinced me to make the trip. I’m planning on visiting the city some time soon, though.

7. Sydney, Australia

You bought this in a bid to buy a place to stay.
You paid a million dollars
for a square meter of space.

The beautiful city of Sydney is where everything is super expensive. What a beautiful place. With its many sights, and Australia in general.

It depends on the cost of living and how far away the place is. In general, the cost of living is going up and it’s more affordable to start a business in Canada than in Australia.

If you are interested in starting an online business to generate income, but you don’t want to necessarily target the Australian market, you could just start the business in another country.

8. Shanghai, China

A dollar million pays for 48 square meters of space.

Shanghai is also known as ‘the world’s factory’. It houses both the headquarters of Fosun and the headquarters of the world’s largest shipping company Dandong Hongxin Group Co, Ltd. It is the largest city in China and the financial center of the country. A bustling port city, Shanghai is home to the Shanghai Expo 2010 and the Shanghai World Expo 2010.

“Shànghǎi: is a huge and hectic metropolis that has become the de facto capital of the global ‘trendy’ lifestyle and is one of China’s most cosmopolitan cities. It’s also a city of contradictions…” – Lonely Planet.

If you go to Shanghai, you’re sure to make lots of money. Many companies in the world’s leading cities like Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen are going to try and recruit you.

9. Paris, France

$1 million buys: $50 per square metre of real estate.

– The city of Paris was the target of some recent attacks, and as a result, we’re going to close the Facebook Graph Search for France.

We were wrong. Paris is one of the most cost-effective places to live. The reason is that the local living costs are very low and the city is filled with amazing restaurants and cafes.

10. Los Angeles, US

$1,000,000 buys: 57 squared meters of the stuff that’s not real.

In general, where people want to live in America: New York or LA. In terms of cost of living, New York comes the closest to being cheapest.

I know I’m good at using the bus system in cities, and you can’t beat the price of a bus ride, to be honest. I’ve been to Los Angeles, and the bus system was amazing.

Many business owners start their businesses in cities like Los Angeles because of the large amount of people. This is a benefit, because you can sell your product and services to a large population, but it can also be a detriment, because it is very expensive to start a business in a city with so many people.

Summary

A video that was made while traveling around the world shows how beautiful and diverse these places are, and some of them are truly amazing. These are not the only things that make these cities so amazing, but they are definitely part of it.

I live in France.
