Eric Myers was an insurance agent. He was born on the 14th of May, 1917. His first job in life was as a fireman, and he was also a volunteer firefighter. Then he became a bus driver. He later worked as an insurance agent. His wife, Alice was the office supervisor of a small company. They had three sons, Alan, Michael and Patrick. The Myers’s lived in a cottage in Scarborough, Ontario.
His family moved to Canada when he was three years old, and his first childhood memories of England were of his life in that country before he emigrated.
Career
Myers originally began his career as a child star. In January 1984 he appeared on the sitcom ‘King of Kensington’. In March 1985 Myers relocated to the United Kingdom. In October 1985 co-founded the ‘Comedy Store Players’.
Myers starred in, ‘Wide Awake Theatre’. The same year he became a cast member of a second city theatre show in Toronto.
He made his first appearance on the show, ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 1989. He was featured in a couple of performances, some of them include his role, ‘Wayne Campbell’ on the Citytv and the music video, ‘Boys and Girls’. In 1990, he left the show because of a contract. Since then, he made a few guest appearances on the show, including the show hosted by Conan O’Brien in 1993.
