William Thomas Berry (born on the 31st, July, 1958) got enrolled in the public school system in Duluth, Minnesota, where he made a mark as an outstanding student.

At age 4, he moved with his family to a housing project in South Central Los Angeles. His parents would soon leave their son to the streets, and his family would remain in that neighborhood throughout his childhood.

In 1972, the Berry family had decided that it was time to move back to Georgia.
