8 Success Lessons From Oprah Winfrey

I am interested in hearing Oprah Winfrey success lessons.

Oprah Winfrey is a philanthropist, and she’s done a really nice show on South Africa since the genocide.

People who have their own businesses can become very wealthy. All you need to do is to make other people’s lives better. As the person who is always helping people, she is very inspiring.

Oprah Winfrey’s Success Lessons

1. Go With Your Gut Instinct

I am wondering if it will be the correct one.

There are times when we have more time to think about things that we have been doing and we want to take a second or third look at them. Although, sometimes your gut instinct on something is the one you will be most pleased with.

The best advice anyone can have is to go with your gut. If you have doubts, that could be a sign that your instincts aren’t working. We should all trust ourselves and our instincts in order to make good decisions.

If you’re in business, it’s very important to make the right decisions. And sometimes having a little faith in yourself and your gut might make the difference you need.

2. Focus on Helping Others

Too many businesses are only there for themselves, and are not really interested in helping anyone else or satisfying any of their needs. Oprah set out to help others, and as a result helped herself, and in the process created a profitable business that generated millions of dollars.

You should always put the needs of others first. It’s important to make sure that what you’re creating and/or selling is something that people need. A product that serves no purpose and does not solve a problem that others have is a bad product.

The best way to make good things happen in your life is to set your mind to do good things for other people.

3. Money Should Not Be Your Priority

Money can come and go as an excuse to avoid life, and being an artist is a good reminder that there is no reason to wait.

The reason you should spend your time doing what you love is because it will make you happy. If it isn’t fun then you should not be spending your time on it.

The only reason you should start a business is if you want to make more money.

The next three sentences are in the form of [paraphrase], because the speaker has said that these three reasons are reasons why people should start a business.

I think that passion and emotions are a lot stronger than money. And I also think that money is the best motivator in the world, but some people are too lazy to do things because of money.

You can only accomplish something successfully if you do not give up on it. You have to keep pushing forward to ensure you make progress towards your goal. This is not always the easiest thing to do, but you have to get in gear and keep moving. If you fail to do this, you will never achieve your goals so you have to be a doer and not a dreamer.

4. Learn How to Turn Negatives to Positives

It’s important to see the good things as well as the bad.

You’re unlikely to achieve everything perfectly on your first try, and you’ll never want to do it again. There is nothing you can do to guarantee your business will be a success, so don’t try.

You need to be able to accept the fact that you may have done or said something that was wrong. And then instead of feeling bad, ask yourself how you can learn from this.

Failure is the first step to success. If we learn from all our failures, we come to the right path.

It’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to do tomorrow.

“Use your wounds and trials to help others.”

Now we start to connect the two with more of Oprah’s words.

5. Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy

Your dreams are nightmares for a reason. You have to be willing to do whatever it takes – you won’t ever be able to get it unless you’re willing to do whatever it takes.

It’s the ultimate goal that you want to achieve in your lifetime; and it’s likely the goal that currently you just don’t have a clear picture on, although you have a general idea of how it could be.

The point is that you can’t just give up the day you start. Success requires more than just showing up and doing the bare minimum. You need to be willing to do whatever it takes to get to your goals.

You want to be an asshole, I will make sure you are one.

If you want to be effective, you have to take action. Only through action will you experience the results you desire.

6. Surround Yourself with Those you Wish to be Like

So, when I hang out with a friend that’s a liar, I become a liar; when I hang out with a friend that doesn’t respect women, I become the same.

So if their habits, thoughts and activities are not aligned with what you are trying to achieve you will struggle.

Do things that help you meet new people and build a new network of contacts. I’m sure you’ve heard the proverb ‘birds of a feather flock together’ and I really do believe that this is true.

Get close to the people you want to be around most and surround yourself with people who are going to lift you higher. Be nice. Be kind. Be humble. Be yourself. Be true to who you are.

7. It Starts with the Belief

I think most of us have had moments in our lives where we feel like we’ve reached the bottom of the pool and we have to start climbing out. That this is a journey from the bottom of the pool.

If you believe in yourself, even when there is no proof, you can succeed. People always say that you can’t do something, but you have to believe you can succeed to prove them wrong.

The difference between a successful entrepreneur and an unsuccessful entrepreneur is their perception of it.

The American people are great and deserve to be great.

8. Be Proud to Be Yourself

The people that have their head in the sand can’t deal with the fact that they are not what they think they are, and if you’re not what you think you’re, then you’re stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Don’t let anyone define who you are. You are not who others want you to be. You are the one defining who you are.

When you do what you want and what you’ve really wanted to do for a long time, you stand out more in the crowd. People will notice that there’s something different about you, and they’ll start to recognize you and know who you are, and that’s how you make a name for yourself. You’re not limited to only doing what others expect you too.

When I go on Oprah, the people I want to meet the most are the people who have the most stories to tell and who will help me continue the story I’m writing.

Summary

Oprah Winfreys success is all about listening to other people’s ideas and then repeating them back to get the best results.
