Pharoah’s comedy career began when he started hanging out with friends who performed in comedy clubs. He performed as a comedian for over a decade, and worked for a number of comedy festivals and clubs before making the big time with his own show.

He would show clips from the Obama speeches, and he would imitate the President Obama’s voice. The first clip shown with Obama’s name was from the 2008 Democratic Convention.

His stage name is 2 Chainz, but he is probably the most accomplished impersonator of Barack Obama. He did an outstanding job of impersonating Obama during the 2012 election.

In 2015, he appeared in the romantic comedy-drama The Wedding Ringer, starring Keanu Reeves and Robert De Niro; and the sports movie The Game, starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie.
