Early Life
Dave Chappelle’s parent’s were both professors, and they were both very strict and traditional. Not much fun was had at the Chappelle’s house, which inspired Dave to become an entertainer.
When Chappelle was in high school, he attended the University of Michigan, where he majored in criminal justice. In 1994, he dropped out and moved to Los Angeles.
The last few years of the nineties were very formative, because I remember starting out at the Comedy Store.
