7 Success Lessons From Muhammad Ali

Listen to his success lessons and live your life like he did.

And he said; ‘I am the greatest, therefore I am’. And people heard and took him seriously.

I also believe that people who have never been in a fight would have the same opinion.

When Ali was informed that he had been selected as the official spokesperson to represent the United States in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics in 1964, his response was nothing short of ecstatic!

In 1979, along with Jimmy Carter, Muhammad Ali met with Iraqi president Saddam Hussein to negotiate the release of the American hostages. The hostages were eventually freed after the U.S. embassy was bombed in 1980.

There was no way we could finish this article without mentioning Ali. He was always there for me, and he’s the reason this blog started. He was just trying to make me feel better, and he did a great job at it.

To be clear: this is just one of many tributes to Ali that have been written over the course of the last few years. Some good, some terrible, none too informative or interesting. I wanted to write about him, and so I did.

Muhammad Ali’s Success Lessons

It took a man of great power, great courage and great skill to be at the top of his sport for so long. I have never seen anyone with the power to be number one in anything who also was also a good person. How do we know he was a good person? A great human being. He went to the top of the sport and he did it on the basis of his good character in boxing, not his boxing ability.

Number one success lessons from Muhammad Ali are:
1. How to build and use an effective and powerful support team
2. How to use adversity to your advantage
3. How to be the best that you can be
4. How you can gain an advantage from within
5. How to use a good strategy
6. How to be a great champion
7. How to win and hold yourself down
And the most important of all from Muhammad Ali is:
“I am a human being, with a human body, and it is not perfect”.

1. Have a Higher Purpose

In his lifetime and after his lifetime, what we do for God is all that will last.

You don’t have to be religious or a firm believer in a higher power to comprehend the quote that you have just read.

A fulfilling and satisfying life can’t be achieved without a higher purpose. You will never live a fulfilling and satisfying life if you don’t have a higher purpose. The main reason that we are not satisfied is because we have no higher purpose at the back of our mind.

You also need a lifestyle where you want to live, not just a life. You should aim to live your best days, not just making money.

2. Learn to Sacrifice Your Comforts

All of us can do amazing things, but the reality is, in order to succeed, you have to be willing to sacrifice. You have to be willing to put in the time and energy to develop yourself. Some of us are just bad at the whole getting stuff done thing, and there are others who actually enjoy developing themselves.

When all the world is young and full of hope,

the people of the South will be strong and free.

When the people of the South are free,

it will be a long and glorious day.

The world champions, who have won more than a dozen gold medals at Rio, will likely start their quest for a record seven medals on Tuesday with their first major international competition of the season.

No matter what your goals in life are, you will always hate some tasks. Make sure you don’t quit even when you hate something. Remember, it too shall pass!

3. Greatness is a Choice You Make For Yourself

The greatest thing you can have in life is to help people,
and to make sure you leave this world a better place than you found it.

“I would be the best at being a garbage man, and would have all the garbage picked up faster than anyone has ever seen. What I really mean is, I would be the greatest at whatever I do, and that would be me. I would be the greatest at what I do in this city, and the greatest at what I do anywhere in the world, and the greatest at what I do in the universe, and I would pick up as much garbage as I could.

If you don’t start taking this advice seriously, Mr. Trump, you’re going to be working for the Trump Organization in 20 years.

If you do great things on a daily basis you will have a great future. Not doing great things everyday will lead you to a bad future. All great people work hard day and night to reach the top of their success ladder.

When your company is providing the best services, make sure that you provide the best services that your company has ever seen.

If you are great at your job, you will create more opportunities for yourself.

4. Free to be What You Want to be

People come across each other and pretend that they are a part of the other person’s life. You act like you know what he looks like, where he comes from, what he thinks.

_______

I just realized a while ago that I’ve started having little panic attacks. They used to last for a while, but now they’re getting shorter and shorter. I don’t know what’s happening. It looks like one of those things that might get worse before it gets better so I’m trying to find support online.

Muhammad Ali was an icon of a free spirit. But in the late seventies, he was no longer free. His beliefs were being threatened and his political views were being vilified. Muhammad Ali had to endure it all. And he didn’t like it.

5. Be Truly Rich

Money is a tool that helps us to purchase resources we need. We have a choice to make – spend it for our own personal gain, or to make a difference in the world.

We all know that we have to work hard to become rich. Sometimes, it’s not always easy, which is why it can seem intimidating.

6. Know When You Cannot Be Wise

There is so much to know, and we can never know everything. If you start thinking that you know everything, you’ll be very silly in a few years.

If we can see the ways in which our weaknesses are useful and we can see the ways in which others’ weaknesses are useful, then we know wisdom is not to find a perfect balance between the two, but an equilibrium between the two that allows us to become the best we can be at the things we already do well and to become more skilled at the things we need to do well and work hard at.

A place to be with others who value learning and growth.

7. Old Age is Just a Record of One’s Whole Life!

The day we were born, we came into this world with no understanding of what was going on. We are just like little tiny sponges, but we have learned through our experiences and that is how we write our own book. We write, as a result of it.

In the future I might see my record, but I won’t care. It’ll be like looking at a book of drawings I’ve made over the years. When I look at it it’ll be like I’m looking into my own life.

After many hours of research and development, the end is finally here. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who supported me on this project.

Summary

To build a great team it takes discipline, effort, training, and practice.
