Villa Leopolda, one of the most costly houses on the French Riviera was built originally by King Leopold II from Belgium for his mistress Caroline Lacroix. Gianni and Marella Agnelli owned the lavish property before it was sold to Edmond Safra, his wife Lily.

This magnificent house, also known as La Leopolda is situated on 18 acres. Panorama views of the Mediterranean Sea can be seen from this property.

This huge mansion, also known as Spelling Manor because it was once owned by Aaron Spelling, was later purchased by Petra Ecclestone. Unknown is the current owner.

The Manor in Holmby Hills is larger than the White House, and 21 times bigger than an average American home.

Fair Field, which is mired in controversy, is owned by Ira Rennert, a junk bond billionaire. After being accused of using company funds for the Hamptons mansion, he was ordered to pay MagCorp $213 million.

9. Lynnewood Hall, USA

Unfortunately, the magnificent mansion in Elkins Park is now vacant and boarded up. The 110-room property, which was built in Neo-Classical Revival design, was originally designed for Peter A.B. Widener.

He was an avid art collector and commissioned Lynnewood after a tragic incident. After a yacht trip, Widener’s wife Hannah was killed.

He was so devastated by his grief that he fled their Philadelphia home and built this massive mansion for his family. Peter Widener’s only son George died on the Titanic.

It was destroyed and is considered to be one of the most haunted houses in the world. Richard Yoon founded the First Korean Church of New York.
