The 25 Best Documentaries on Netflix to Watch Right Now

I’ve made no claims to the accuracy of the sources mentioned. If you believe there’s a mistake, let me know.

These are the best movies and documentaries you can watch on Netflix right now.

25. Pumping Iron

“T2” is a documentary about an old Terminator robot who is now going through some rehabilitation. It’s actually a very fun and light-hearted look at a guy who is literally a Terminator.

Arnold is facing 2 major challengers in this match.
Serge Nubret and Lou Ferrigno are both very strong competitors.
Pumping Iron also features Arnold at his very best.

This documentary was released in 1977 and examines the world of professional bodybuilding. It focuses on the 1975 IFBB Mr. Universe and the 1975 Mr. Olympia championships and examines the lives of the competitors.

Watching Pumping Iron and knowing what the hell it’s really about was the best piece of advice I got as an editor.

24. Dogs

It’s time for us to appreciate those special and loving relationships that people have with their dogs.

The story is set in a universe where humans aren’t the only species with sentience and a distinct form of self-awareness…

23. Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Connected World

Werner Herzog’s documentary shows and talks about the internet, and connects the internet to the people’s daily lives and all the things they do on this device that connects the whole world.

The book is written in the style of an autobiography. Herzog discusses his career, his experiences, his thoughts, and his feelings towards the society in which he lives.

Herzog explains that technology has made life easier, but has also made it harder to be a human being.

He spent his journey going through the towns and meeting the people, and was also thinking what the Internet has changed his life for better or worse.
And then…

22. Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat

In the past I have tried to teach myself how some of the worlds more inventive dishes are made.

You’ll learn how to make everything from scratch, like baking pizza, to cooking the perfect steak. The world of cooking is truly a world of experimentation and experimentation is what this film is all about!

Samin’s book is based on her TV show “No Kitchen Required” where she takes a cook across the world to show her how to cook a really good meal.

Each episode focuses on one of the elements and Nosrat goes to a different country to learn how to cook with a certain element.

Not only that but its a documentary about the world of dance and how people can learn it.

21. Wild, Wild Country

The two-hour documentary centers on a new cultish religious movement called Koreshanity that sprung up in 1994 in rural Texas and its leader David Koresh, who was taken down by gunfire in a shootout with FBI special agents, which killed four of his followers and injured two others.

The movie was based on the true story of how the controversial Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, built a utopian city in the Oregon desert and gained a massive cult following.

Despite not being the biggest player in the industry, this ranch is an important part of the ranching industry.

It shows clips of people talking about their experiences with Scientology (including being forced to do odd things like put on a leotard and dance).

In the late 2000’s Leonardo DiCaprio started the Cowspiracy series, a documentary series on what’s making the world uninhabitable to our planet, with the latest being released in 2014.

It examines the impact of animal agriculture on the environment so that one can understand the importance of veganism.

It takes us to the Arctic, to rainforests, and to the deep sea. We meet scientists, activists and explorers, such as Paul Watson, founder of the controversial Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and Michael Reynolds, founder of the International League of Conservation Photographers, and others.

The documentary argues that animal agriculture is one of the root causes of environmental destruction.

I was then kidnapped for a second time. I was then subjected to years of sexual, emotional, and psychological abuse.

16. Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond

He’s still impersonating Andy Kaufman for the production of the 1999 film Man on the Moon.

The movie is an entertaining look into the process of how the movie was created. It is a comedy, so don’t get your hopes up for a realistic view of how the movie was created. It is more of a behind the scenes look into how the movie, which has been called by some pretty awful names, was put together.

This video was made by watching the actor’s process towards his acting techniques.

15. Valley Uprising

I’ve gone from not being able to walk in a straight line to now climbing up the side of mountain with almost no gear.
I’ve now come to the conclusion that the mountains have gone soft in these warmer weathers.

The documentary follows the creation of “free climbing” – an intense vertical climbing discipline – in Yosemite National Park.

This started an intense trend of people climbing all over Yosemite in the 1980s.

This time, the climbers used one of the most extreme climbing styles. They had no ropes and they scaled sheer cliffs in a single day to record the fastest ascent. The record stood for five years. However, they then challenged the record by climbing the biggest of them all, a vertical rock face almost 1,000 feet high.

You’re right, if you’re not a woman, don’t even bother applying, it’s like a waste of everyone’s time.

14. The Vietnam War

If you have a history, then this one will definitely get you excited.

It’s amazing how even when we are so close to war we are still unable to see the truth and to be able to see what the truth it.

For an American Netflix user, we assume they watch the original language of a documentary. But, for a British Netflix user, the subtitles are a very interesting part of any documentary.

The BBC has decided to make a new series, a reboot, rather, of the documentary series, ‘Life on Earth’.

Climate change is a big deal for the planet and its effects are seen around the world. Sir David is on the hunt for more on how it is altering our world and the effects it is having.

The music that is associated with the Netflix documentary is wonderful and was composed and written by Hans Zimmer.

9. The Barkley Marathons

I’m not sure if I ran a marathon or not… I was always afraid I wouldn’t make it to the finish line. I have run several ultra-marathons, so I guess I have to say I’m a fairly advanced runner.

The documentary follows four different people over four days as they battle it out for the title of Barkley Marathons.

The race will be held on the Atacama Desert in Chile, which is considered one of the roughest terrains on the planet. In the last 25 years, only 10 of the race’s 40 competitors have been able to complete the course.

It’s so gruelling that most runners in the “fun run” only complete half, or the 20-mile (32 km) point-to-point course.

“I’m so glad I run” said the little pig who is running the Boston marathon.

Fyre, the documentary about a music festival that has become a massive fire hazard, hits the

top>

of our list on Netflix!

It is a documentary which takes you into the Fyre Festival in 2017. It chronicles what went wrong and how it all got to the point that this music festival is no more.

A music festival was held on a private Bahamian Island, where it was supposed to be a showcase of the app that was trying to reach a more profitable, and in their opinion more loyal customer base.

Unfortunately, not everything went to plan and the organizers ended up being the subjects of at least eight lawsuits, one of which was seeking more than $100 million in damages!

I believe you. It’s just that I want to understand what exactly happened. You don’t seem like a bad person, but…

I agree with this list. I’m not really sure about the original order. I think thetopthree aren’t really top three. “The Nightcomer” is one of the better ones.
