10. Jerry Garcia’s Custom Doug Irwin “Tiger”

Price: $957,500

Doug Irwin is a famous artist who is known for his custom-made guitars. He’s a luthier who has been making guitars for more than 45 years.

The tiger head Jerry had commissioned on the body of the guitar came from a “custom paint job” he did on the guitar before he played it for the first time.

This Doug Irwin was the last guitar Jerry ever played in public. This was one of the reasons why it fetched so much at auction.

The second paraphrase is from the lyrics of the song “You Win Again” by the Eagles.
