After the completion of his schooling from the Ramakrishna Mission International School, Mysore, Vikram Pandit did his master’s degree in Economics from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
He then went to University of Bombay, to study chemical engineering. Pandit received an award for his engineering thesis on “Development of a method of purification of chromium from industrial scrap” and was awarded a First Class Honors degree.
