It was nominated for a MTV Video Music Award and was also his first music video to go to number 1 on YouTube which meant it won several awards and was number 1 on the Spotify Viral 50 for a few weeks.

Early Life
Although a talented artist, he was always aware that he had to go to college and obtain a degree. So, he pursued his master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Westminster.
While he didn’t start rapping until he was 11 years old, he has roots in Ghana.

Career
His first major release was his debut extended play ‘Dreamers Disease’ which was released in 2014. In 2015, Stormzy went on to perform at Glastonbury Festival as a part of the line-up.
Stormzy was the face of the MAMA Awards campaign, which was created to promote the show. He also performed all the acts on the line up, including Dua Lipa, Stormzy, Jessie J, Craig David, Rita Ora, and Sam Smith.
In 2019, Stormzy released his fourth mixtape ‘I Am A Mover’ which charted at number 24 on the UK Albums Chart. Later that year, the rapper released a collaboration titled ‘Blinded By The Light’ featuring British grime singer Stormzy and British rapper JME. In 2020, it was announced that Stormzy will be the face of the re-introduced Adidas Yeezy shoes.
Stormzy has worked with Big Narstie, Yungen (and now Raleigh Ritchie) and Nick Jonas. There’s a lot more going on in his career and I’m excited to see what comes next.
In 2016, Stormzy was a featured artist on the single ‘Feed Em to The Lions’ and released his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer.
