There he goes. We lost him again! That is not good!
He is not just going to orbit the Earth, he is going to go into orbit with the earth!
He is one of the first men to go into space in this country.

Favorite Quotes from Alan Shepard

I didn’t believe we were so fragile on Earth but on the ISS we have to remember this place is incredibly special and fragile. Space is hard and dangerous, it will always be hard and dangerous but it can also be beautiful, inspiring and powerful.

Alan Shepard said, as the first American in space, that if he was to go to space again, he would be there because he enjoyed the work that he did and got a lot of satisfaction and accomplishment out of the work.

When you’re in the space business, you spend more time on design and test for things that might go wrong than things that might go right. It is not a question of if the space business works, but how well it works. Space is not like any other aspect of industry because the business is so unforgiving. We have to be good at many things, but if we’re not good at some things we will fail.

The “Moon-Shot” was a major achievement in the history of the United States. It was one of the most ambitious and important programs ever undertaken in America. However, it was not the end. With the Apollo 11 mission, NASA set a goal of landing man on the moon by the end of the decade, the same year the United States was supposed to host the Summer Olympics.

“The pilot looked at his cues of attitude and speed and orientation and so on and responded as he would from the same cues in an airplane, but there was no way it flew the same. The simulators had showed us that.” – Alan Shepard

The story is based on an interview with astronaut Alan Shepard. The interview was conducted by the historian Tom Wolfe in the 1980s.

Alan Shepard said he got in his pressure suit before he went to bed the night he went to space. He woke up the next morning and went over the instructions for the mission and started getting into his suit. During the mission he was unable to eat anything and he said he had zero memory of anything after he woke up.

3 Life Lessons from Alan Shepard

To start with, you have to keep your mind open to the possibility of success. It’s easy to get scared away from the idea of success. But this only makes you weaker. So you have to learn to be a bit scared.

1. Your Talent

You have to be there not for the fame and glory and recognition and being a page in a history book, but you have to be there because you feel like you can contribute and can do a service towards a successful mission.

2. Good On Your Field

This is a question that is often asked by people who have worked with astronauts and what they do and how they work with astronauts. And what they do is they are like good mentors and counselors for them because in the end, they believe that you have to be there because you are good and you can contribute, not because you are going to get something great, but something great can also come out of this.

3. What You’re Doing

You may not have any extra talent, but maybe you are doing more of what you do.
