Tech N9ne is from Kansas City, Missouri, but he was born Aaron Dontez Yates. Tech N9ne is best known for his debut album Because I’m a Negro, which featured The Pack, and he’s also released several other albums, including a collaborative album with the Insane Clown Posse and a compilation.
His first real success came in 1999 when he released his debut album, which featured his debut single “My Name Is” on the track listing. The song was a success, and the album itself received many positive reviews.
Tech N9ne has been creating music and rapping since he was four years old. In his teens, he was able to sign a publishing deal and release songs on RCA Records.

The statement “I use my own money” is an extremely important statement. Tech N9ne could be an “A” student and not have a dime. He might be a millionaire and, after paying taxes, still be broke. That, however, would be the exception. Most people have a hard time with the statement because it is an acknowledgment of the truth.
I think, the most important thing that I always thought about this that I’m always saying is you start with your new songs. The fans are going to walk in and you can tell them it’s this and that, but they’ll see it. There’s only two things you can do, so you better start out with what’s new and then it will get people excited.
